Frames 9–18 cover the happy path (sourced from the Notion bind spec sections (1)–(12)); frames 19–24 cover edge cases, referrals, and admin states. Each frame lists the user stories it covers verbatim from the relevant Notion spec.

Confirm the HO's legal name and lock the policy effective date. Entry point from the quote review.

Requirements checklist

What's needed to bind — HO3 attestation, mortgagee, billing path, AFFIDCA. Drives the rest of the flow.

HO3 attestation

Capture underlying HO3 carrier, policy #, effective dates, Cov A limit. Required pre-bind input.

Mortgagee capture

Lender name, loan #, mortgagee clause, billing contact. Required when billing path = escrow.

Direct-bill (HO pays) or mortgage escrow (lender pays). Triggers different downstream Ascend setup.

Diligent search affidavit. Surplus lines requirement — HO confirms no admitted-market coverage available.

Coverage-gap review

Final coverage check before generating documents. Surface any gaps between underlying HO3 and Althea wind layer.

Doc Set A generated and ready for e-signature. Agent reviews, sends to HO.

Set A upload-back

HO has e-signed; documents are back. Ready to commit. Final gate before PAS atomic commit.

Bound state & payment status

Policy bound. Surface payment status (provisional bind / paid in force / escrow late). Post-bind view for the agent.

Edge cases & admin states · frames 19–24

Bind blocked: CAT suspension

Catastrophe-watch bind suspension in effect. Agent sees suspension notice; cannot proceed until cleared.

Bind referred: identity review

OFAC screen returned a possible match. Bind paused pending UW review.

HO3 expiration referral

Underlying HO3 expires within 6 months. Triggers UW review before bind can complete.

Commit re-validation failed

Re-validation at the commit gate failed — capacity, CAT suspension, or eligibility shift. Re-quote required; Set A voided.

Bind-void modal

Bound policy being voided — non-pay, fraud, or other. SLIP+ BO reversal triggered downstream.

Concurrency lock gate

Two agents racing on the same property. First-to-bind wins; second sees lock notice.
